An advanced option when creating an AG character is to have your character be one of the Dragonspawn. This type of character has imbibed some dragon blood. When they are created, Dragonspawn are able to join the Adventurers Guild as much more fully developed characters. This infusion of dragon blood is the result of an encounter with an ancient dragon that decided to help the character rather than eat him or her. On the turn you create a Dragonspawn, and ONLY on that first turn, you may purchase one or more drams of dragon blood which give you Experience Points and Knowledge Points. To create a Dragonspawn character, fill out a regular Creation Sheet and then email a GM Note in the below form to have the character become a Dragonspawn.
You may purchase as many drams of dragon blood as you wish. First choose if you wish to develop as a Warrior, Sage, or Standard Adventurer. The Standard Kit will produce 40 Experience Points and 20 Knowledge Points each dram, the Warrior Kit yields 50 EPs/15 KPs, and the Sage Kit gives you 30 EPs/25 KPs for each dram. So buying ten Standard drams means your Dragonspawn character starts with 400 EPs and 200 KPs. Each dram costs $5.75. You can use those EPs and KPs immediately when the character is created by emailing the stats and skills you wish to train, in the order you wish to train them. The multipliers for stats and skills can be found in the Guild Halls area of this website.
As we create your character we will also train him or her as you wish. When the training is complete, we'll also add on an Adventure Power Level Modifier (APLM) so that your character has a 25% history as part of the power level. This helps maintain equality between the Dragonspawn and the regular characters in terms of power level. They also receive starting gold (two times your starting PL) and destiny points (drams purchased times three, 75 max).
Other stats that are adjusted upon creation are Damage Point Bonus and Dodge/Retreat Bonus. DP Bonus is adjusted by (ending Strength plus ending Stamina) divided by two. D/R Bonus is set to (ending Dexterity plus ending Cunning) divided by two. Both adjustments have a maximum, that being the number of drams purchased. That means you will only get an adjustment of one if you buy one dram, and so on.
Dragonspawn characters are viewed by some to have an initial, unfair advantage over other AG characters, so a Dragonspawn must sit out one all-guild tournament before being able to participate.
Use the below form as a guide, and email us the information when you submit the creation form.
Character Name: _____________ Player Name & #: ______________________
I'm buying ____ drams of dragon blood (x $5.75), total cost $_____
I'll use this kit (pick one) :
__ Standard (40 EPs / 20 KPs per dram)
__ Warrior (50 EPs / 15 KPs per dram)
__ Sage (30 EPs / 25 KPs per dram)
____ drams * ___ EPs ==> total EPs _____
____ drams * ___ KPs ==> total KPs _____
(list stats and/or skills below one by one in the order you wish them trained)
Train this Ability/Weapon/Skill --- EP cost --- KP cost --- EPs left --- KPs left
A shortcut is to list stat or skill x N, where N is the number of trains. An example would be 'Strength x 10' meaning train in Strength ten times.
